Welcome to The Mickelsens!
Okay... this is it. I'll post things from time to time so family and friends can keep up with what we are up to; it's hard to send photos to everyone! Any of you Family and Friends can feel free to add comments or notes for us.... but if any whacko puts up anything unseemly, I'll be nixin' it, cause... well I AM the queen., and therefore the boss.

This is a fabulous recipe to share with friends. I don’t know why it is called “bread”… it should be called Amish Friendship Cake! It is super moist and delicious.
Important!! Do not use any type of metal spoon or bowl when making the batter. Do not refrigerate. Squeeze the air out! If air develops in the bag, that’s normal. It may bubble, rise and ferment.
Directions Day1 This day the bag was prepared::Do nothing. Day 2 Mush Bag Day 3 Mush Bag Day 4 Mush Bag Day 5 Mush Bag Day 6 Add one cup Flour, one cup Sugar, one cup Milk Day 7 Mush Bag Day 8 Mush Bag Day 9 Mush Bag Day 10::::::: Bake the bread!! First, make more started bags for your friends. Mix your bag of starter in large bowl with 1 ½ cups flour, 1 ½ cups sugar, and 1 ½ cups milk. Mix well. Pour one-cup of starters into 4 large gallon sized zip-loc bags. Keep one starter for yourself ( if you want!) and give the bags to friends with a copy of these instructions. Be sure to tell them what day the starter was made.
Ingredients Use the remaining batter in bowl add the following and mix well 1 Cup Oil 2 Cup Sugar 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon 1½ Teaspoon Baking Powder 3 Eggs 1 large package instant Vanilla Pudding ½ Cup Milk ½ Teaspoon Baking Soda 2 Cups Flour 2 Teaspoon Vanilla 1 ½ Teaspoon Salt You can also add 1 c. raisins, or other ingredients as you wish.
Directions Pour into 2 large greased and sugared (mix a little cinnamon and sugar) loaf pans. You can sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mix all inside the pan and save a little for the top. Bake at 350º for 50-60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes (or until bread loosens from pan) then remove bread from pans. Makes two loaves. (Bundt pans and cake pans also work nice.)
Enjoy!

Absolutely no amount of bribery could get andi in the photo booth with me... but I managed to convince peter that it was in his own best financial interest to oblige. I love the photo booth.

I‘m A bit late in making this entry… been sitting on it since March. Oh well.
Andrea’s 15th Birthday involved a trip to Knotts Berry Farm, Anaheim CA. Just up the road. Peter had a Bar Mitzvah to attend, so I took the girls on my own. I *LOVE* to people watch,,, with these big girl mostly on their own running amok, I was able to do a bit of it, and the following are a few observations.
